Hey everyone! I was just feeling curious so I thought I would start this thread.
What is everyone's favorite campaign setting (doesn't have to be DnD) and why?
My favorite DnD setting is Dark Sun (particularly 2E flavoring). The harshness of the desert and incredible strength of the wild creatures is extremely appealing to me. The group I play in almost always comes near a TPK each session. Nothing like being on the edge of your seat for a fight.

Dresden fate system. Its perhaps my favorite story and I enjoy the Roleplay of the fate system.

That's awesome. I am so new to all roleplaying games. One of my groups plays in my DM's Homebrew setting called Darkplane, and its like gothic horror, and its pretty cool, but the group is a little disorganized. I've never played in another setting, but I plan on sticking with D&D for years to come so I hope I can experience several more. I want to be a player more often.

I'm versed in multiple systems, but I've never seriously played anything other than DnD 4e. A player in my game is going to start running a Deadlands game, and I hope to one day play in Shadowrun.
Shadowrun in theory would be my favorite.
Once I finish up my campaign I want to run a D20 modern game set in the Fallout universe.

Hogar, Shadowrun is the best thing since cake. I have played D&D 3.0, 3.5, & 4e, Shadowrun 4e, Star Wars 3.5, and I have recently made my own game. My favorite campaign setting is a tie between Athas (Dark Sun), Faerun (Forgotten Realms), and an old custom setting whose name I have forgotten. Also... if you guys can get the PDFs for Shadowrun (I suggest 4shared.com) I am utterly willing to start a shadowrun campaign. Or Star Wars 3.5. Or D&D 3.5. I have PDFs for all of them. You are all also welcome to join my custom game, which I call Condemnation RP. It has a wiki and a forum already. =D Forum - condemnationrp.proboards.comWikia - condemnation.wikia.com

I have all the core shadowrun 4e books. I still have a few hesitations with character creation but for the most part I think I have it. I would LOVE to play a game if you run it. I already have a character concept I've wanted to play for a while now.

I have a lot of the supplements on PDF. The point buy system is a little weird to me. I am probably perfectly fine at it, just never had anyone reassure me.
I just checked, I think I have everything released from 1e to 4e. I'll make a character and send it to you somehow.

You should only need 4E information. I'll email you the character sheet I use, if you wish? If you have one online, you can email it to me at aronic1302@gmail.com

Anyone who would be interested in a Shadowrun 4E Campaign, please PM me here (on the celysion forum), and let me know. If I can get a decent party set up (2-4 players), I am perfectly willing to run it.
Please note, Shadowrun is a pretty realistic, high-risk, high-danger, future-modern fantasy RPG. It involves (generally) being a criminal (default), and performing (generally) stealth-oriented "jobs." Adventures are often corporate espionage, "protect" missions (guard the newlyweds, etc), and strike-team assaults. You do NOT level up. You receive Karma, and use that to increase your skills IN-GAME. You don't randomly learn to shoot sniper rifles, you study. It takes time, and during that time, your character is not playable.
To cover that problem, I do allow multiple characters, but not at the same time. So while your main character is training in Martial Arts, your secondary character is performing missions in-game, so that you aren't left out.
Like I said, PM me if you're interested.
